Wir erinnern uns noch an Spot und Hähme, als einige Vordenker in den 90er Jahren das ClueTrain-Manifest ins Internet stellten. Heute predigen selbst damalige Kritiker dessen Inhalte. Wie sich die Zeiten ändern.
Social Innovation hat nun ein lesenswertes „Manifesto for Social Innovation“ herausgebracht. Der Titel: Social Silicon Valleys.
Als die Top 10 der „Social Innovations“ nennt das Manifest:
„This manifesto is about how we can improve societies’ capacities to solve their problems. It is about old and new methods for mobilising the ubiquitous intelligence that exists within any society.“

Self-help health groups and self-build housing; telephone help lines and telethon fundraising; neighbourhood nurseries and neighbourhood wardens; Wikipedia and the Open University; complementary medicine, holistic health and hospices; microcredit and consumer cooperatives; charity shops and the fair trade movement; zero carbon housing schemes and community wind farms; restorative justice and community courts. All are examples of social innovation – new ideas that work to meet pressing unmet needs and improve peoples’ lives.“
Wie schnell auch Großunternehmen in die „Sozialfalle“ tappen können, zeigt das aktuelle Beispiel von Coca Cola in Indien. Zahlreiche indische Gruppierungen rufen zum Boykott von Coca Cola auf, da der Konzern angeblich Grundwasser verseucht und viel zu viel des ohnehin knappen Wasservorrates verbraucht.
Social Innovation – mehr als nur ein Trend. Auf Parallelen zum ClueTrain-Manifest darf man gespannt sein.
